Building energy upgrading

The building sector accounts for more than 40% of the primary energy consumption.

More than legal advice

Combined with the pollutants emitted as well as the production of this consumed energy and also the unbearable financial costs, the need for more efficient and “cleaner” energy solutions becomes imperative.

In this direction, Panflow is pioneering using cutting edge technologies, offering and applying energy solutions by totally upgrading an existing entire building. By intervening either on the shell or on its energy systems, the result is more sustainable regarding its use, with ideal comfort conditions and at the same time more environmentally friendly. The financial gain from the energy savings achieved can lead to immediate capital depreciation in most cases.

Building shell

This is the part that comes in direct contact with the adverse weather conditions such as extreme cold, high temperatures and humidity, as such it must be protected in order to achieve ideal conditions.

Measures in this direction include:

External thermal insulation of masonry

using eponymous systems to reduce thermal losses, avoid thermal bridges and protect against moisture.

Heat-proof frames

certified by the most well known manufacturers. Air leakage effects as well as concentrates due to temperature difference with the external environment, are eliminated.

Shading systems

Fixed or mobile shading systems, blinds, etc. to reduce cooling loads.

Energy Systems

These are the systems that are expected to form the desired internal conditions according to the corresponding external ones. They require special attention during the designing, to make sure they will cover the needs using the highest degree of efficiency.

In particular, they include:

Heating systems

Newer efficient heating systems such as heat pumps, gas condensing boilers, compensation systems, thermostatic valves etc.

Cooling and ventilation systems

Air management units, use of heat pumps which carry an EER high efficiency index, air exchangers, etc.

Hot water

Selective collectors with high solar efficiency, heat pumps as well as combi systems to assist the heating system.

Lighting

Replacement of traditional light bulbs with more energy-efficient LED technology. Intelligent systems with motion detectors, lighting studies, etc.
